Make sure you stay in the suite with a terrace and 2 other chairs and beautiful views. The atmosphere of the hotel is quiet!
The bathrooms are quite small.

The breakfast was freshly prepared and extensive with a lot of outstanding food. The location turned out to be stunning and magnificent, next to the entrance/restaurant, several beautiful beaches and quaint inland towns, and the center of Begur. Besides, it was 5 min drive to Playa Cala Aiguablava...

We thoroughly enjoyed to be here for a trip and would definitely book here again. The total stay was memorable for 2 nights on our three centre. The downstairs bar was a plus...

Excellent setting, friendly and laid back staff who were extremely helpful when we asked questions or for advice. Very nice common areas, especially the restaurant and outdoor patios.

Central location in historic town, beautifully decorated rooms with antiques, engaging themed music nights in common areas
Poor noise insulation between rooms!!! WiFi connectivity issues made working difficult!!! Limited space in certain rooms can leave guests feeling cramped!!!

Clara and Joan, the owners, have created an ambience that is both relaxing and comfortable, informal and attentive. The hotel has lots of character and is well situated in the town of Begur in an old mansion house which has been lovingly restored. It is near both mountains and beaches, the latter being relatively unspoilt and safe. The beds are very comfortable and the showers excellent. They run an honesty bar for buying drinks and coffees when the bar is shut and there is plenty of relaxing space to sit and read or watch a dvd. All all an excellent venue for a relaxing holiday on the Costa Brava.

This hotel was like staying in a personal home. It was a historic hotel and the amenities were nice but very simple, shabby sheek. The best feature though was the friendliness of the owners Clare and Joan. There was breakfast every morning and the dinners were very good. Begur is such a quaint little town.
The church bell went off all night long which is charming but sleeping was a bit difficult. Be prepared that this is not a luxury hotel. There are no elevators to the third floor and it is an old building, but is is charming and a true europeon experience..

A hidden gem in Begur 🌟
What a lekker experience! The brekkie spread was amazeballs, fresh fruit, made-to-order eggs, and the vibe was so chill. Clara and Joan, the owners, are like chommies. Got a lovely room with the best view. The honesty bar is a cute touch!
Lighting in the hallway could be a bit brighter, felt a bit gloomy.

An appealing and idiosyncratic small hotel in an old colonial-style building, located in an attractive small town, run by people who care about what they are doing and know how to make guests feel welcome.

Hotel decorated in old fashioned stile.
May be little bit far from beaches if you travel without car. However car rent is available at the city

Expected a welcome gift for enduring such discomfort, but apparently that's too much to ask. If you're going to charge this much, kindly up your game! I just couldn't recommend it, sadly.

First of all, we very much liked the village of Begur and the location of the hotel is very central to explore the place. Also, the view from the room was very nice. Therefore: location.
May be our room was not the best of the hotel. Old bathroom and too many old objects lying around in an excessive effort to show propension for 'modernariato' which can become rather 'kitch'. I expected more after having read other guests comments. Rather standard breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at Aiguaclara. The owners went out of their way to be helpful and we felt very comfortable. My husband got sick and it was a great place to rest and relax. We enjoyed the restaurant (good food) and the room was lovely. We will have to definetly come back to enjoy the town and see the sights we missed. The town was beautiful and a definite "must see".
There was nothing about the hotel we did not like! We booked for one night and stayed 2, wish we could have stayed longer!

The location in the old town was ideal, just a short walk to the honesty bar. The breakfast was excellent and so delicious, really setting a great tone for the day. The secure parking nearby was a huge plus.
